The 80-year-old thespian insists she has no plans to stop working in the near future and gets irritated when people ask about when  she will be quitting.

Asked if she gets annoyed when people assume she needs to end her career, the ‘Second Best Exotic marigold Hotel’ star said: “It does not frustrate me, it maddens me! I say that it is not in my vocabulary, retirement. And if i am unable to do one thing, then i am going to learn one thing new.

“There are all kinds of things that i do not fathom. It’s like, I learned yesterday that a person who makes arrows is named a fletcher.

“I’m full of irrelevant information, however it might be helpful doing a crossword at some point.”

Judi recently finished filming ‘The Hollow Crown’ alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, who got married recently to theatre director Sophie Hunter – and admits it absolutely was a thrill to work with the actor.

She said: “I’ve best-known Benedict since he was a little boy. His mother and i attended the same college  together. I send him and his new wife huge love. i have been thinking of him, and his ma and pa.”

Despite being nominated for an oscar seven times, the ‘Skyfall’ star doesn’t take into account herself a celebrity.

She told United States Weekly magazine: “Someone once said to me, ‘I never thought i’d see a celebrity in Waitrose. and that i thought, i am not a celebrity! i am a jobbing actor!”
