President Of The Northern Nigeria, Is President Muhammadu Buhari showing Favouritism To The North With Recent Federal Appointments?

President Muhammadu Buhari announced the appointment of 6 Federal officials two nights ago and this shocking list threw the entire nation into pandemonium, causing rippling effects across the minds of many Nigerian.

In the awake of the announcement so many had taken to Twitter Nigeria to voice their disappointment,Frustration and disbelieve.

Has things stand now, its now been said that President Muhammadu Buhari is the President of the North. if you have been watching the Popular Uk Tv Series called Game Of Thrones you would have a better Idea of what i mean.

Below is the list of the Federal Appointed

Babachir David Lawal – Secretary to the Government of the Federation

Abba Kyari – Chief of Staff to the President

Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (rtd.) – Comptroller-General, Nigerian Customs Service

Kure Martin Abeshi – Comptroller-General, Nigerian Immigration Service

Senator Ita S.J. Enang – SSA to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate)

Hon. Suleiman A. Kawu – SSA to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives)

Of all the 6 appointees, 5 are from Northern Nigeria and this is what has gotten a lot of people talking, including his party APC.

One of the Leaders of the Ruling Party in power had this to say:

The President does not consult before making most of these appointments and I can tell you that Nigerians are going to term the party and the President as a northern party and the President of Northern Nigeria. Though the President did not get much votes from the South-East, we must not neglect the zone in key appointments. Even the South-West that supported and was the backbone of the party, what are we giving the zone in appreciation? We need to be careful before the party is destroyed.
