The Borussia Dortmund Striker and Gabonese International Player has won the African Player of the Year for 2015 ahead of 4 times winner Yaya Toure of Cote D’IVoire.


The 26-year-old Striker won the Award with 143 points and Seven Points clear of the Manchester City Midfielder who has expressed his disappointment in not winning the Prestigious African Footballer Award.
Andre Ayew of Ghana Finished in third,the WInner of the award is decided by african national team coaches and technical directors in Africa.

Yaya Toure and Samuel Eto’o Fils are the only players to have won the Award  4 times in a Row.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang become only the first player from the Bundesliga to have won the Award.
