The is a popular quote: to Every successful Man, there is a woman behind it Right!!, But what you all Don’t know for a fact is that behind every successful lady there is strong Hearted, relentless, Loving and caring Mother who made her be the lady a successful man makes his wife.

So is the story of Annie Idibia and her Mother Mrs Grace Essien, we all know the saga and years it took our dear Music Star and now Legend 2face Idibia (2baba) to Propose and Mary her.

Through those years of waiting and waiting almost in Vain, she had a Pillar encouraging her and Giving her all the strength she need, no other person than her mother.

And so Impelling Magazine in this edition and since its the month of women and mothers decided to theme its new issue around the Strength of women and the Joy of motherhood, focusing on the trails and Triumphs of both mother and daughter as single mothers and also well established entrepreneurs.

Speaking about the Photo-shoot, Annie said:

couldn’t wait to share this with you guys!!! So excited it finally here! This was my most emotional shoot ever!,” Annie wrote on her Instagram page.

Her mom, Grace in an interview with the magazine talked about being a single mother saying:

I must say it was very hard years ago, but I thank God now, everything is fine and my kids are all grown up and good. I wasn’t always a single mother, I was married for 14 years to my children’s father, had the 4 of them in the marriage. Been divorced for 17years now, but I give God the glory for everything! No regrets.

On the challenges she faced raising four kids all by herself she said,

It was very hard, I had to work during day and sell pepper soup in the evening, because my kids needs were very important to me, they had to go school, they had to eat , they were very small and couldn’t take of themselves. So it was very hard working and taking care of them..

Honestly my children gave me joy and peace, we didn’t have enough but we were a happy small family.

She however lost her youngest son some few years ago.

On her daughter wanting to become an actress,

It was hard to allow her at first because she was very good in mathematics, so I thought she should be an accountant, but as a very small child Annie loved to stand in front of the mirror wearing my things and my makeup, talking and pretending to be on TV, acting like the actresses she sees in the Indian movies. She loved it.

And when she started doing small dramas in school, I just knew she would be on TV one day. I am very proud of my daughter.”

Speaking further the Akwa Ibom state born said,

I’m extremely proud of her. She was very Hard working at a very small age, and very mature in her thinking, she had big dreams and will always say mummy very soon you will see me on TV and movies.

I want to do this, I want to that, and was always very sure of what she was saying, and I supported her with prayers as always. Now she’s on TV, she acting like she always wanted, she’s happily married to good man, and she’s also a very wonderful mother.
What else do I want to ask God, he has blessed me and all my children, and I have 4 beautiful grandchildren! I am very proud of her and her brothers too.”
