
The Federal Government of the Republic of Nigeria has officially extended the Eid-El-Fitr public Holidays Celebration till Thursday July 7th 2016.

In a Statement Released From the Office of the Minister of Interior Abdulrahman Dambazau which was signed by the Permanent secretary of the ministry, Bassey Okon Akpanyung has it that :
The extension is as a result of the decision of the President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto, to extend the Ramadan fast to today Tuesday July 5th following the non-sighting of the moon.
