The World Number 1 in women Tennis was Dumped out of the Competition in rio at the 3rd round of the competition yesterday after she lost to Ukrainian player Elina Svitolina 6-4, 6-3 in just over an hour of play.

Serena,34, had never lost to the 21-year-old in their Previous 4 meetings until last night.
At the French open two months ago Serena beat the 28 seeded 6-1, 6-1 in straight set.
Serena’ Dream of becoming the first Tennis Player to win the Olympic medal back to back has finally ended.
Serena how ever did not attend the Post Conference after the match she left her message with one of The U.S team spokesperson.
She said:
“Obviously I’m disappointed,” said Williams, who is also out of the doubles draw after she and her sister, Venus, lost in the first round. “The better player won. It was a great opportunity that didn’t work out the way I wanted it to. At least I was able to make Rio, which was one of my goals. It was awesome, but it’s over now.”
While Elina Svitolina couldnt contain her joy, saying “It was just an unreal feeling, just a relief for me because I didn’t expect even in that moment that I could win,” she said. “And I think it helped me a lot — you don’t expect mistakes from her and just fight and stay focused. Being in the moment, that’s definitely what helped me today, and just relax and go for my shots because I was doing some winners and especially on the second set when it was really, really tight.”.
Williams who turns 35-year-old next month has battled with a few injuries of her own. last month she withdrew from the roger cup due to shoulder inflammation and never looked her best at RIO this year has she committed a huge no of unforced errors especially on her serves double faulting for most part of the game.
