Serena Williams - I accidentally spilled news of My pregnancy On Snapchat

The New world No.1 in women tennis said on Tuesday during her interview that she didnt plan to announce her pregnancy and it was done accidentally via social media.

The 35-year-old all time Grand Slam champion with 23 in the Open Era was 7 weeks old when she won the Australian Open 2017 back in January beating her older sister Venus Williams 6-4,6-4 to win her Record 23rd Career Grand Slam.

US today Reports, Well actually it was an accident. I was on vacation just taking some time for myself. I have this thing where I’ve been checking my status and taking pictures every week to see how far along I’m going,” she said during her TED Talk on Tuesday night in Vancouver.

She was interviewed by Gayle King, who asked if Williams planned to share the photo with friends maybe.

“No, I’ve just been saving it,” Williams said. “I didn’t really tell a lot of people to be quite honest. And I’ve been saving it.
“You know how social media is, you press the wrong button and …” Williams smiled.

Thirty minutes after the post went up, she had four missed calls.
“And I’m like, that’s weird,” Williams said. “And I picked up and I was like, oh no. But it was a good moment. I was going to wait, literally like five or six more days. But that’s OK.”

King noted that the photo on Snapchat didn’t have much information, just the words “Twenty weeks.”

“That’s what I’ve been doing all this time,” Williams said. “I’ve been tracking it, 18, 19, every week I just take a picture and save it. I’ve been so good about it; this was the one time that .. I slipped. But it’s OK.”

Williams deleted the post, which left the world to wonder what exactly it meant.
Turns out the winner of 23 Grand Slam singles titles will become a mom later this year. She said there’s no question she’ll be back on the tennis court after the baby is born.

Williams, who is engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, learned that she was pregnant two days before the start of the Australian Open in January.

“I was nervous. I wasn’t quite sure what to think, but I just knew at that moment it was really important for me to just focus right there at the Australian Open,” she said.

At the first major of the year, Williams would go on to beat her older sister Venus in the final 6-4, 6-4.

“It wasn’t very easy,” Serena Williams said. “You hear all these stories about people when they’re pregnant, they get sick.”

Williams said fortunately she hasn’t suffered from morning sickness.
“I had to really take all of that energy put it in a paper bag so to say and throw it away,” she said. “Because I really felt that I didn’t have time to deal with any extra emotions, any extra anything because pregnant or not — no one knew — and I was supposed to win that tournament as I am every tournament that I show up, I am expected to win. If I don’t win, it’s actually much bigger news.”
