Novak Djokovic says that Andre Agassi will coach him at Wimbledon, and be there for all his matches at the tournament.

Agassi and Djokovic began working together at the French Open, but the American could not attend the entire event because of a prior commitment. Djokovic said that Agassi would not be at this week’s ATP event in Eastbourne, where the Serb has taken a wild card, but would arrive before the start of Wimbledon.

“He will be in London for Wimbledon and will stay as long as I stay in the tournament, so that’s great,” Djokovic said in Eastbourne. “The eight or nine days that we spent together at Roland Garros were very valuable for me to get to know him, to learn from him.

“We shared a lot of experiences on and off the court … I’m just looking forward to spending as much quality time with Andre as I can.”

The pair still does not have a more extended coaching agreement, with Agassi having agreed to help Djokovic following his split from his coaching team during the clay-court season.

The eight-time Grand Slam champion has said he does not intend to coach full-time because of his family and various projects, but wants to be involved based on his schedule.

“For now, we’re going with the flow,” Djokovic said. “First of all, I appreciate his consideration to work with me and be with me, so we don’t have anything formal. We don’t have anything signed.

“It’s just as much as he can or feels to be with me.”

Djokovic also said he had been in touch with former coach Boris Becker following a highly-publicized court ruling against the German for not repaying a loan. Becker refuted the prevailing public impression about his finances, according to Djokovic, but was told by the Serb that he could “count on him” were there any problems.

Djokovic is the top seed in Eastbourne.
