The sports legend and her fiancé Alexis Ohanian headed to a “baby class” on Sunday, and Williams documented the entire experience on Snapchat. In the class, the pair took turns wrapping a toy doll in a blanket—to varying degrees of success.
“Baby class 101,” Williams captioned a video of her masterfully swaddling the doll. She acknowledged her undeniable #skills in the next Snapchat. “Good swaddling, Serena,” she said. Her husband-to-be, though, hadn’t quite gotten it down.
“Look at this student. Oh, what happened?” she joked as Ohanian looked at his poorly swaddled baby in shame. “I can’t help it!” he said, before picking up the doll like a football. “Sir, that’s not how you carry the baby,” Williams said in mock horror.
The first-time parents may still have a lot to learn before the baby arrives, but it’s nothing the power couple can’t handle: Ohanian is the cofounder of tech giant Reddit, and Serena Williams is, well, Serena Williams. Considering she won the Australian Open while she was pregnant, it’s pretty safe to say there isn’t anything she can’t do.
“If you would have told me last year in October or November that I would have a baby, not be pregnant but have a baby, I would have thought you were the biggest liar in the world,” Williams told Vanity Fair in an April interview. “I don’t know what to do with a baby…I’ve done absolutely nothing for the baby room.”
Clearly she’s making progress: She’s got the swaddling skills on lock.
