CNN Anchor Brooke Baldwin abruptly ends an interview with Fox Sports Radio host Travis after he says, ‘I believe in only two things completely: the First Amendment and boobs.’

A Fox Sports analyst just turned a CNN interview into the most awkward moment on national television. CNN Anchor Brooke Baldwin was left astonished after Clay Travis, who hosts a show on Fox Sports Radio, made an inappropriate comment about boobs.

Travis and former ESPN editor Keith Reed were on “CNN Newsroom” to talk about ESPN’s Jemele Hill, whom the White House has urged ESPN to fire after she called President Donald Trump and his supporters “white supremacists” on Twitter. Travis has been criticizing ESPN lately for what he perceives as taking a “leftist” slant and he continued to take shots at the network during his CNN appearance.

“ESPN is not in the business of commenting randomly on political-related issues,” he said. “They established about 18 months ago that their people shouldn’t be involved in non-sports-related political controversies,” Travis said, claiming that ESPN fired Curt Schilling for saying he disagreed with the North Carolina transgender bathroom bill.

“That had absolutely nothing to do with sports. And they said, ‘You can’t have that opinion; it’s too conservative, we’re not going to allow it,’ ” he added, before it turned awkward. “I am a First Amendment absolutist. I believe in only two things absolutely: the First Amendment and boobs. And so, they made the decision that they were not going to allow a conservative non-sports commentary…”

Surprised, host Baldwin interrupted him, “Hold on! Hold on! I just want to make sure I understood you correctly, as a woman anchoring the show. What did you just say? Did you just say you believe in in the First Amendment and B-double-O-B-S?”

“Boobs,” he repeated. “Two things that have never let me down in this entire country’s history: the First Amendment and boobs. So those ares the only two things I believe in absolutely in the country. … Once you make the decision you’re going to let Curt Schilling go, you have to make the decision you’re going to let Jemele Hill go.”

Reed responded, “I’m astonished at almost everything I just heard.” Travis snarked, “You don’t love boobs too?” Still baffled by Travis’ comment, Baldwin said, “I’m still there too.” She once again asked Travis, “I just want to make sure I’m hearing you correctly: booze or boobs. Because as a woman, I’m…”

“I said boobs,” he said, “I believe completely in the First Amendment and boobs.” Baldwin asked him, “Why are you sitting here, live on CNN – why would you even say that live on national television and with female host?” He stressed, “I say it live on radio all the time. Because it’s true. That’s what I do.”

Baldwin finally had enough of it, ending the interview. “This is done. This conversation is over. Yanking mics, bye. See ya. That was entirely inappropriate,” she said. She later took to Twitter to send a message to everyone, “That was… I just… it was one of those thought bubbles ‘did he actually say that on MY SHOW?!’ Note to men — that is never okay. #smh”

Travis’ sexist remark has since become the talk of the town on Twitter, with many praising Baldwin’s reaction. New York Times correspondent Glenn Thrush tweeted, “If there was an Emmy for reaction shots @BrookeBCNN would win all of them.”
