Serena Williams Shares First Photo of her Daughter

 

The 23 times Grand Slam Champion was rushed to the Hospital on the last day of the month of August and after several hours in the labor room, Serena gave birth to her first child with Tech Magnate Alexis ohanian in Florida September 1 2017.

But since then no further update from the tennis star on till this morning when she took to her social media pages to share Photos of her daughter whom they named Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.

According to BBC,  The 23-time Grand Slam winner shared a video clip on her Instagram Stories, Facebook and website.

Williams announced the name of her baby daughter on her Instagram Stories profile. She also shared a montage of memorable moments from her pregnancy, including winning the Australian Open while pregnant and her first ultrasound.

Serena Williams in a lengthy video on Wednesday morning, shared first snaps of her baby girl.

The 35-year old tennis champion also revealed that the baby girl is named Alexis Olympia Ohanian, Jr. and that they had to spend six days in the hospital after her arrival because of complications.

 

Proud baby daddy posted on his own page a cartoon version of the family portrait. He wrote, “Welcome, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, Jr., we’re so happy to meet you. We made you a video of our adventure together so far.” He added on Twitter, “You’re a blessing; your mama’s perfect sidekick; & already a Grand Slam champ.”

 

The engaged couple made a YouTube video to document the day they found out about the pregnancy up to the moment after baby Alexis arrived and the new parents took her home. “So we’re leaving the hospital after six days, it’s been a long time,” Serena said. “We had a lot of complications but look what we got, we got a baby girl.”

 

Alexis Jr. was born September 1. She weighed in at 6 pounds, 14 ounces. She won a Grand Slam title because her mom Serena won the Australian Open while she was pregnant with her. “No one knows I’m 8 weeks pregnant,” so the athlete revealed in the YouTube video.

Serena Williams, 35, and Alexis Ohanian, 34, started dating in 2015. He proposed to her in a romantic getaway in Rome in late 2016 during the holiday. They announced they’re expecting a baby in April. It’s her firist child with her beau. She took a break from tennis following the pregnancy announcement. She delivered the baby at a Palm Beach hospital.

The couple wanted to keep the sex of their baby a surprise, but they were both convinced it’s a girl. “Obviously, she won the Australian Open while pregnant,” Alexis told Jimmy Kimmel

. “She remarked that she feels like it has to be a girl, because everything that little baby went through and handled like a champ, only a woman could be strong enough to take on. … If anything, though, it’s really just reinforced how just amazing and strong and powerful and awesome women are.”
