Understanding your partner
Hey guys, it is your homie Eddie Schwaggs and this is Relationship Corner. How was your weekend, hope you had fun, I know I did. Today’s topic is understanding your partner.
To ‘understand’ according to Oxford Dictionary of Current English is to “know how someone feels and why they behave in a particular way”. In other words, to understand your partner is to know how he or she feels and why he or she behave the way he or she does.
Everyone strives to understand and understood in their relationship. It makes us feel loved and appreciated. In dating, it is very important to understand your partner and your partner to understand you. Mutual understanding must be present before marriage. Where there is mutual understanding, there will be less quarrels and fights. Sometimes words are not needed to express your feelings because your partner understands you and you, your partner. It fosters marrying of your souls and a deeper, sweeter relationship, where seeds of love will grow and bear fruits.
People differ because of their individuality; some people are easier to understand than others. Some people are expressive with their feelings while others need to be studied like a book. These are some tips to understand your partner if he or she is difficult to understand
Find out whether your partner is easy to understand or not
Tell your partner to free with you, to be able to share all of parts of him or her with you.
Learn from past mistakes and quarrels, this will also help you to know his likes and dislikes
Be free with your partner, let him or her know about your successes and failures, strengths and weaknesses
Be able to perceive your partner’s moods and interpret it or ask him or her about it.
Do crazy things with, and to your partner. Things like pillow fights, childish plays, dancing (twerking) e.t.c this will allow them ease up around you.
So many relationships crumble because of lack of mutual understanding. Mutual understanding is one of the key ingredients needed for a successful relationship.
