18-year old Nigerian Ruti Olajugbagbe has been crowned the winner of The Voice UK 2018.
Ruti, who was coached by veteran Tom Jones, broke down in tears upon being announced the winner. few moments after her coach called her a ‘wonderful, magical, sincere’ singer.
Speaking on her win, Ruti said;
‘I wasn’t expecting this… I didn’t expect to get to the blind audition, I don’t know what to say!’
The 18-year old goes home with a £100,000 prize, as well as a deal with Republic Records.
