Lamido dies at 96 after Battling with Protacted Illness.

The Sarkin Kabbin Yabo in Sokoto state, Alhaji Umaru Lamido is
dead.
Lamido passed away on Sunday at the age of 96 after a protracted
illness.
He is survived by one wife and many siblings, among them is the
former Commissioner of Finance, Alhaji Faruk Malami Yabo.
The burial rites have already taken place at his palace in Yabo local
government of the state, according to Islamic tradition.
The burial was attended by Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of
Sokoto state and Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
Also present were the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad
Abubakar, the new chairman of APC, Alhaji Isa Achida, among
others.
