Mohamed Salah’s agent has denied a report saying the Egypt star’s representatives had offered him to Barcelona.
Reports of a potential exit to La Liga rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid by Salah from Liverpool have become frequent after his record-breaking debut season at Anfield.
This particular story surfaced on Wednesday with reports that representatives for the Liverpool attacker had offered him to the La Liga champions.
The story also detailed Barcelona’s view that Salah was a fallback option if Antoine Griezmann’s rumoured move to the club did not work out, and that the representatives and the club were working together to find an agreeable number to entice Liverpool to sell.
However, Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas has directly responded to AS’ twitter account denying that any such offer had occurred.
“This never happened,” Abbas said from his Twitter account, quoting the AS story in his tweet. “AS, you need better sources.”
