Court in Kano State orders arrest of chief of staff of Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, two others over N4bn fraud

The Kano State Public Complainant and Anti-debasement Commission’s Investigation into the supposed N4billion extortion against the Emir of Kano took on a lawful hue on Tuesday, May 28th when the commission kept in touch with the court for a request of the capture of three royal residence authorities.

A Chief Magistrates’ court in Kano on Tuesday allowed the request referring to their refusal to respect the commission’s welcome. Boss among those arranged to be captured is Mannir Sanusi, the Chief of Staff to the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II. Sanusi holds the conventional title of Damburan Kano. The two others are Mujitaba Abba and the Accountant of Kano Emirate Council Sani Muhammad-Kwaru.

Boss Magistrate Mohammed Idris, therefore, issued and marked the capture warrant continuation of a movement by Salisu Tahir, Chief State counsel. Tahir had said that the solicitation depended on the arrangement of Section 38 of the empowering Law setting up the Commission.

The Commission had welcomed four individuals in association with the charge, of which just a single individual, Isa Bayero, pseudonym Isa Pilot, who was a previous Scribe to the Emirate Council, respected the welcome. Muhiyi Magaji, the Chairman of the commission, said the three people that have a capture warrant on their heads are the main suspects for the situation. He said the commission had effectively mentioned security agents to authorize the request and capture the three people.
