Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan is a Nigerian senator who represents the All Progressive Congress in the Yobe North Constituency of Yobe State. He became a senator in 2007.
Tentatively, Mohammed Ali Ndume is a Nigerian politician who was a member of the Federal House of Representatives from 2003 to 2011. He was elected to the Senate for Borno South, Borno State, Nigeria in April 2011 running on the People’s Democratic Party ticket.
Yobe North Senator-elect and Ali Ndume of Borno-South are formally the main two congresspersons competing for the Senate President.
