Nigerian Graduates break Howard University records

HOWARD

Forty-six graduating medical students out of the ninety-six students at the Howard University, USA, were Nigerians.

Out of the 27 awards given at the ceremony, 16 of the awards were given to Nigerian students. This has never happened in the history of Howard University or any University in the United States. These Nigerian students completely dominated the ceremony and changed history.

Former President of the United States, Barack Obama, who was the commencement speaker at the ceremony, talked about race and encouraged all the graduates to be proud of their color and to always love and embrace who they truly are.

He also added that, it is important for people of color like him to continue to break through the glass ceiling.
