Rwanda has set record to build its first-ever gold refinery with the capacity to refine gold with the boundaries of Africa.

The refinery which is worth $5M is located at the capital of the nation, Kigali Special Economic Zone in Gasabo District. It is expected to be able to add value to Africa minerals before exportation.

The company behind this initiative is a combined venture between two firms; a local company – Hilly Metals Company and Aldabra. These two firms have equal shares in the business when the refinery started operating since March this year.
