The people of Central African Republic are in great fear as their neighbouring country, Democratic Republic Congo (DR Congo) has lost more than one thousand of its citizens to the deadly virus, Ebola.Â
Health Minister of Central African Republic, Pierre Somse, announced that, the country is not ready to combat such virus should it breakout in the country.
World Health Organisation has declared the virus as a public health element of international concern. This has caused more fear.
However, there has been no reports of the outbreak in Central Africa Republic so far.
According to reports, the people of Central African Republic sell their cattle in DR Congo and also, rebellious group of people move in and out of the two countries, therefore there is a very high risk the virus may breakout in Central Africa Republic.
There have been unstable situations in Central Republic for almost two decades after Francois Bozize – Ex President – seized power through coup.
