Counterfeit money worth $271 Million seized by officials in Turkey


The Turkish officials have seized an estimated amount of $271 Million fake notes that were found in a Printing Press in Turkey’s capital, Istanbul.

The Turkish officials busted into the Printing Press where the fake notes were presented. A bunch of fake 100 Dollar Bills were found during the operation. The police and anti-crime and smuggling officials arrested other five Police who were amongst the bandits.




Reports says that, it was supposedly  orchestrated following a failed military coup in 2016.



There have been accusations against U.S-based Muslim cleric, Fethullah Gulen of masterminding the attempted coup in July, 2016. However, he has denied any involvement.

Turkish authorities have been on the hunt for more suspects and also, investigations are ongoing to prove whether the money is connected to Gulen’s network.
