Ghana musician rap finds its way into dictionary.com

What may have been welcomed with criticism in the Ghanaian music space has rather earned Ghanaian artiste Patapaa worldwide notoriety.

‘Scopatumana’, a term which ended up well known in Ghana after it was utilized by Patapaa in a tune by Kawula Biov (Daavi Ne Ba) on which he highlighted, has discovered its way into dictionary.com.

On their official Twitter handle, the world’s driving advanced lexicon posted a connection that clarifies the word with the inscription: “It looks like articulations in Hawaiian, Malay, and Indonesian, however, shouldn’t something be said about in Ghana, where it’s from?”

The site further properties the source of the word to Patapaa, who is notable for framing infectious terms in his melodies.

“Sco pa tu mana is a hogwash expression made mainstream by a rap by the Ghanaian artist Patapaa. The expression propelled the Skopatumana Challenge, where individuals post recordings of themselves rapping Patapaa’s verses,” it peruses.

Patapaa ended up prominent in Ghana after his ‘One Corner‘ tune turned into a web sensation upon his presentation in 2017 at Agona Swedru Akwambo Festival in Ghana.
