Taking a few international awards and ‘somehow’ being recognised globally has given him the luxury to claim some kind of ‘supremacy’ in the music industry.
Ghana’s Dancehall Artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, stagename, Stonebwoy Burniton, claims that Jamaican popular artistes consider him to be one of them. Someone who fix into their caliber of people and therefore treat him like they treat themselves (Jamaicans).
Stonebwoy who has collaborated with a few Top Jamaican acts like Morgan Heritage, Sean Paul, Beenie Man and more, has every advantage to claim that bragging right.
According to him, when they meet up in the studio, the Jamaicans create a conducive environment for him and treat him like a brother. All they talk about is music and business, nothing strictly formal. He made this revelation in an interview with a Jamaican media firm.
Stonebwoy was awarded the 2015 BET International Act award and Favorite African Star Award at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2019.
