Stormzy’s “Shut Up” has now sold over a million units in the UK

“Again and again and again.”

A good season for Big Mike. After headlining Glastonbury and going platinum with “Vossi Bop,” now this. UK Rapper, Stormzy, breakthrough freestyle song “Shut Up” has now sold over one million units in the United Kingdom.

“Shut Up” was a freestyle rap video which was released on 1st May 2015. The video of this freestyle is the most viewed video on the rapper’s YouTube channel with 90 million solid views.

It went on to be a full song which was featured on his “Gang Signs & Prayer” album.

The song talks about how the rapper has independently hold himself up and ‘murdered’ most rappers lyrically. He also talks about being the best in the UK Grime scene (a special music genre in the UK).

Stormzy is the richest UK rapper as at now. He is the youngest and only black British rapper to have headlined popular greenfield festival – Glastonbury Festival. He is known for hits songs like “Blinded by your grace, Big for your boots, Cold, Vossi Pop, Wicked Skengman series” and more.
