2Face, Awilo Set to Headline African Legends Night 2019 In Ghana

African Legends Night, this year in its 8th Edition, came in a different but golden style as one of Nigeria’s most honored musicians 2Face  also known as 2Baba has been announced together with the Congolese music maestro, Awilo as the headliners for this year’s show.

History is yet to be made as these two powerful artistes would be gracing the same stage in one night this September, according to organizers of the event, Global Media Alliance.

Joining them to mark this legendary moment is a team of Ghana’s decorated music acts led by Mr. Music Man, Kojo Antwi.

According to Global Media Alliance who broke the news to the public, in radio launch, these artistes were selected mainly because to their undying contribution to the growth of the African music.

“These legends have played many and major shows, have won multiple awards – both local and international and are expected to give a night masterpiece of performances that will create an indelible mark in the hearts and minds of the audience who will throng the show. I urge everyone to put on their dancing shoes for the night,” said Ernest Boateng, Chief Executive Officer of GMA.

The 8th Edition of African Legends Night will take place on Saturday September 28th at the Grand Arena Dome, Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

African Legends Night is a program that is interested in recognition and celebrations of living African music greats who have taken it upon themselves to uplift and defend African music

The function has since its inception honored legends such as the Late Hugh Masekela of South Africa, Femi Kuti of Nigeria, Freddy Meiway of Ivory Coast, Kanda Bongo Man of Congo, Yvonne Chaka Chaka of South Africa, Ghanaian legends Amakye Dede, George Darko, Ben Brako among others.

Last year witnessed Kojo Antwi, Samini and Daddy Lumba becoming a part of the legends of the African Legends Night. These musicians have given great tunes and magical experiences to audience in every aspect and they deserve to be celebrated.
