The Queen of Ghanaian Feminist has something to say to people who are always on her neck because of marriage.
Ghanaian Actress, Lydia Forson has said that, it’s quite stupid when people ask her when she’s getting married.
Talking to BBC Pidgin news, she said;
“I no dey bore but ibi stupid question, all the time when you go marry, when you go marry. But me I know the answer to the question so e no dey bother me too much.
“Happy people erh, them no get time for other people. See as I dey here I be happy, what you dey do with your life, e no dey concern me.”
“I don’t get angry but it’s a stupid question. People keep asking me ‘When are you getting married?’ all the time. But I know what my answer is so it doesn’t bother me.”
“Happy people don’t have time for others. And I’m a happy person, so what other people do with their lives is not my concern.”
Lydia Forson is widely known by many as being a strong believer of gender equality. However, many people tend to see her as being so extra about it. Fighting for women, yet, don’t show enough support to women to compliment her actions.
Lydia Forson is a Ghanaian actress, writer, and producer. In 2010 she won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
