Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah is set to remain as the head coach of the Black Stars till Africa Cup of Nations 2021 in Cameroon.

According to Media reports, the outcome of the meeting  between the President of Ghana and the coach was positive as his contract has been  extended to two years


Reports from the Jubilees suggest that, the president has asked the Ghana Football Association’s Normalisation Committee to maintain Kwesi Appiah as the head coach of the Black Stars.

The 59 year old manager has been under pressure and subjected to public insults for not bringing home the victory as he promised in the recently ended 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Tunisia crashed out Ghana from the tournament at the round of 16.


Holding all the public ridicule and affronts constant, Kwesi Appiah has apparently been backed by some football experts and pundits who wants him to continue his Job as the head coach

During an interview with the deputy transport minister, Hon. Daniel Titus Glover, He stressed that National team coaches need enough time to put in place a strong team, and believes giving Kwesi Appiah another opportunity will enhance his chances of improving on his performance.
