The Blues has lost to the Van Dijk captained team on penalties in the Super Cup finals.
For the 4th time, Liverpool have been crowned Super Cup winners in the history of football as the won 5-4 against Chelsea after coming up 2-2 after extra time played.
Giroud netted the first goal for the blues, little did he know that the Senegalese forward was just right after him to equalise it and double it up with a second goal.
Jorginho realising there’s something at stake equalised that too, taking both teams to penalties.
L’pool however beat Chelsea 5-4 after Tammy Abraham spoilt his chance.
Some people would say it was a smooth sail for Chelsea even though they lost to the UEFA champions. Considering the fact that they bottled four goals last weekend from the red devils without a compensation goal, they were expected to be ‘defiled’ by the Reds.
