In July this year, Director of the ‘Joker’ movie, Todd Collins, announced the release of the movie, which got fans anticipating on when it will be available at the cinemas.
The content and rating of the movie have been displayed by the movie’s website. It stated that the movie will be filled with “strong bloody violence, disturbing behavior, language, and brief sexual images.”
The synopsis of the movie was also stated. It reads:
“Director Todd Phillips Joker centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone fictional story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck, who is indelibly portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix, is of a man struggling to find his way in Gotham’s fractured society. A clown-for-hire by day, he aspires to be a stand-up comic at night…but finds the joke always seems to be on him. Caught in a cyclical existence between apathy and cruelty, Arthur makes one bad decision that brings about a chain reaction of escalating events in this gritty character study.”
The movie is set to hit the cinemas on October 4th.
The character ‘Joker’ has a historical past which consists of a sad part on another page. In 2008, one of the actors who played the character died even before the movie could come out. Heath Ledger, who played the role of ‘Joker’ in ‘Batman: The Dark Night’ died as a result of drug overdose. It was reported that, he took drugs to stay up late to rehearse for that particular role, after the shoot, he became addicted and gradually died in his apartment even before the movie was premiered. So many people still pay due respect to him as being the best person to portray the ‘Joker’ character.
