Popular screen goddess Actress Juliet Ibrahim has finally broken silence regarding the cause of the divorce in her marriage to Kwadwo Safo, son of , Apostle Kwadwo Safo Founder of Kantanka Automobile.

The couple, who’s now co-parenting eight-year-old son Jayden, were married from 2010 to 2014.

Speaking to Nana Adwoa Sarkodie of Citi News at the launch of her memoir “Juliet Ibrahim: A toast to Life” in Accra, she lamented how people who are ignorant about what she endured in her marriage are quick to judge her.


“People have had their own perception about what led to my divorce.I have sat down for many years and have had to deal with the pain and insults from the public who had no clue what I went through as a person during that period and how it affected me.”she said. And added that she had to make a bold decision to leave the marriage because she was very depressed in it.

“The depression and all that happened. All I will say is you should never judge someone who wants to come out of a marriage.


“Because sometimes it is better to come out of it than to stay in it. For your own sanity and mental stability it is always good to take a bold decision for yourself. For your kids, if there are kids involved take a bold decision,” she advised.

Juliet Ibrahim has featured in more than fifty films, and she is also a producer, her recently launched book ‘A Toast to Life’ which shares her journey through life and how her family survived back to back wars across Liberia, Lebanon, and Côte d’Ivoire.
