Popular Ghanaian Gospel musician, Lady Prempeh has expressed interest in ‘self-acclaimed’ Dancehall King, Shatta Wale as she sees him to be gifted and inspirational.
According to her, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with someone who does secular music to collaborate with a gospel musician.
Lady Prempeh said in an interview with ZionFlex.
“I want to collaborate with Shatta Wale on my next project. He is talented and his songs inspire others. Most secular musicians do inspirational songs, therefore they can channel that energy into making really good gospel songs.”
She added that, secular artistes who often release inspirational songs can be branded as Gospel artistes because the only bridge between them and other gospel artistes is the use of “God” in songs.
Lady Prempeh has been in the Ghanaian music industry for more than a decade. She is known for hit songs like “Nsohwe Mma kwa, Onyame Beye, Mefre Yesu – which features Kuami Eugene.”
