Upon everything he has done for the black community, people are not happy with him on this one.
A few days ago, popular American Sports, National Football League (NFL) announced their collaboration with Black American Rapper-Billionaire, Jay Z as part of the board members to “enhance live game experiences and amplify the league’s social justice efforts.”
However, some people consider the collaboration as disgusting and something that shouldn’t be praised.
Girlfriend of American Football player, Colin Kaepernick – whose kneeling protest came up in 2016 – has said that “Jay-Z let them use him”, which was “disgusting”.
Early on, before this partnership had even visualised to happen, Jay Z said in a song “I said no to the Super Bowl, you need me, I don’t need you,” so he now sharing a table with them is quite contradicting.
Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend however thinks, NFL is trying to bury the case against her man by getting one of Black America’s favourite people in their team.
She posted on social media;
“We will never turn our backs on Colin because your idols decided to work with the same organization that is actively keeping Colin unemployed all because he peacefully protested against social injustice in black and brown communities, specifically police brutality. So really, how can Jay-Z and the NFL utter social justice in their partnership while keeping Colin unemployed because of his social justice work?”
