Two siblings; a brother and a sister have been allowed by a New Jersey court to be pronounced as a husband and a wife.

James Banes, 41, and Victoria Banes, 38, have been granted the permission to walk down the aisle after ten years of battling with the court.

According to the siblings-couple, ‘millions of Americans who have consensual incestuous relationships and who are living in fear.’ They also accused the Government for wasting tax payers money on fighting against their course.

“Incest has been practiced by humans since the dawn of time. If Adam and Eve hadn’t done it, the human race would not be here today,” James Banes shared to the media.

Family lawyer for the Banes, Julianne Grey’s argument was that “criminalizing incestuous marriage while first-cousin marriage was legal in the state of New Jersey was a nonsensical and discriminatory measure.”
