The NKZ President has a different perception when it comes to making hit songs.
While making hit songs is the biggest deal for some artistes, the ‘Lapaz Toyota’ hit maker considers it to be a “cheap content.”
Ghanaian Rapper, Guru during his interview with Kwame Oboadie on the After Hours Show, talking about why he is not making hit songs anymore, he shared;
“When you talk about hit songs, making hits is one of the cheapest things to do as a musician. Because hit makes you break all the maturity and your lyrical contents. It reduces your vibe to some level because you have to commercialize it. So if an artiste wants to make a hit song it’s easy because it’s all about push and trend and they’re good to go.
“Some of us we don’t fancy anything about trend anymore because we’ve done it all, we’ve stayed consistent for over ten years. Now it’s time to do good music with good content. I’m not here to prove my worth.”
