Mama rainbow breaks the internet in show-stopping headtie

Veteran Nollywood actress, Dr. Esther Idowu Phillips aka Mama Rainbow is known for her role in Telecommunications company, Airtel‘s tv jingles and dramatic head ties. In a recent picture she shared, the actress flaunts her show-stopping white headtie.

Mama Rainbow has five children, among which she lost a daughter, Sola Osborne, to Ulcer in 2016. Born on the 16th October 1942, she ventured into full time acting after the death of her husband Augustine Ayanfemi Phillips, and she has since then featured in several nollywood movies.

Her late husband was known as Baba Osumare(Rainbow), and she was dubbed Iya Osumare in the Late Chief Hubert Ogunde‘s acting group, which was how she got her alias.

She is the founder of Mama Rainbow foundation, also currently an Ambassador for Airtel, a telecommunications brand in Nigeria. The endorsement deal has given her lots of recognition and has really helped her career, according to her in an interview.
