Black British Rapper, Michael Omari Owuo Jr, popularly known as Stormzy, has launched the second edition of ‘The Stormzy Scholarship’ which is in partnership with University of Cambridge, UK.
Last year (2018), the rapper introduced ‘The Stormzy Scholarship’ which benefited two black underprivileged but smart students with extremely difficult backgrounds to enrol in the Cambridge University with fully funded scholarship.
The richest UK Black Rapper, after the first initiative faced several backlash from non-black people for being a racist and not concentrating on the larger population.
He angrily retorted, “You lot go s***k your mama.” He explained that, most non-black people do not care if bad things happen to black people in the community, but when there’s something good happening to them, they want to be inclusive.
People started calling him racist and all sort of names but he ignored them and brought to light the second edition.
He said in his recently released song ‘Crown’ – “I’ve done a Scholarship for the kids, they said it’s racist, that’s not anti-white, it’s pro-black.”
