Bob Risky Birthday Saga: Police invade venue and disrupt ceremony worth more than $52K

What was set to be a remarkable event for the Internet sensational celebrity has turned sour!

Nigerian Internet celebrity, Bob Risky, after the grand invitation made prior to his birthday celebration has faced a huge disgrace after investing 19 million Naira ($52,383) in organising birthday event.

According to the Nigerian police, they had to pull the plug to what was set to be one of the most memorable days for ‘Oshey baddest’ because they had foreseen distraction and rascal behaviour which could highly occur at the ceremony.

Born Idris Okuneye, Bob Risky had booked two locations for the celebration of his birthday, one which took place on Saturday at Pearls Gardens in Lekki Phase 1 and another which was set to take place today, Sunday at Paradise Boat Club, Victoria Island. Also, Bob Risky’s birthday invitation came with a customised “B” inscription champagne, boxed in an beautiful package.

However, the Police explained in their own terms, why they had to shut down the party;

“Considering the pedigree of the celebrant, the event may likely cause a breach of public peace and it is expected that no immoral display should be allowed.

“To augment security at each of the venues, ACPOL Area ‘A’ Lion Building/SUPOL Victoria Island mobilise 50 men to provide security at Club DNA, No 76 Adetokunbo Ademola Street, opposite Eko Hotel and Suite, Victoria Island and Paradise Boat Club, plot 8, Walter Carrington Crescent, Victoria Island.”
