In what can only be considered a sad incident, the Unity Bank PLC’s Head Office was gutted by fire early this morning. The bank’s management confirmed the news via a tweet on their verified twitter handle.
Fortunately, as at the time of this report, the bank has also confirmed that fire, which razed three floors of the building, has been brought under control. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Unity Bank is one of Nigeria’s leading retail banks with over 200 business offices spread across the country’s 36 states.
