Nigerian artist, Kareem Waris Olamilekan, beats over 2000 people to win World Prize

11-year old Nigerian artiste, Karem Waris Olamilekan, who became an Internet sensation after he made a portrait piece of France’s President, Emmanuel Macron has bagged himself another achievement.

Karem Waris has received Taiwan’s Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation’s 22nd Fervent Global Love of Lives Award; this will enable him meet the country’s President at an event that has been scheduled to take place.

According to Taiwan Representative in Nigerian, the 11-year old artist conquered 2,723 other artists from all walks of life to win this award.

He added that, the uniqueness of Karim’s drawings and how marvellous it is made him stand out as the best amongst the others.

Along with the winners from Taipei, Karim will be attending the event – where they’ll meet the country’s president- from Friday Sep. 20 to Saturday Sep. 28.
