American singer, R. Kelly, whose wish was to be taken out of solitary confinement has finally become a real thing as he is being added to the general population.
Another wish he often hinted at, which was to be allowed visits from his female callers, has also been granted. The legendary R&B singer made several hints on the topic recently, stating that he has been treated brutally.
The news has initiated criticism towards the court system, with many insinuating that this could put him in danger. Solitary confinement, in his case, is not a form of punishment, but instead a step to ensure his safety and due to the nature of his crime, it seems just right that he is kept away from the other prisoners.
If comments made on social media are anything to go by, it looks like R. Kelly has fallen out with a lot of people, therefore expecting him to have an active relationship with the other prisoners is out of the question,especially when he can be recognised by anyone easily. Unfortunately, it isn’t known yet if he will be entitled to a single cell to avoid possible clashes with cellmate.
However, It has been confirmed from reliable sources that the singer’s co- girlfriends plan to visit him as often as they can. His attorney, Steven Greenberg, said that though Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary will be able to greet and hug Kelly, – there will be no conjugal benefits.
