Popular Nigerian musician, Tiwa Savage, expressed her disgust in a tweet,  “I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is sick.”

She further said,for this reason, I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”

Quite a number of Africans have taken a stand against the current xenophobic attacks in South Africa, particularly some known Nigerian singers and Zambian footballers.

Meanwhile, Burna boy and Wizkid have massively and intensively condemned attacks on their fellow Nigerians in South Africa
