Ali Baba who was reacting to a survey which shown the high rate of birth in the region noted that the Government are not doing anything I this region just because of the votes they want.

He wrote:

We keep ignoring these figures… then 15 years later, we will be asking, where did they get their votes from?
_
We keep ignoring these issues, and still be wondering where all the places riders come from. Heard of the word Osmosis? Moving from a place of higher concentration to a place of lower concentration? Ehen.
_
We keep ignoring the fact that when men are idle… they do what is left for them to do.
_
Now, why would they move?
_
1. Absence of economic opportunities.
_
2. Absence (not poor) of education.
_
3. Visionless leaders who have nothing to offer. So no plans to grow IGR. They wait to collect federal allocation, remove security vote, money for next elections, pay party faithfools and owe the rest
_
4. Tales of green light, from those who have made it to, say Lagos.
_
5. DESERTIFICATION.
_
6. A market affected by weak spending power.
_
7. Insecurity.
_
8. Family pressure. You have 7 children and no means of supporting them… you migrate to Abuja or Lagos.
_
9. Lack of job opportunities
_
10. No vocational training
_
So in the end, downward migration. Because you cannot go up to Niger, Chad, Libya or Mauritania… because they too are looking for green land and life
_
What do I know sef? Shebi I am just a comedian?
