Actress Genevieve Nnaji’s Movie ‘Lionheart’ Disqualified From Oscar Entry

Lionheart, the blockbuster movie from Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has been disqualified from the Oscar Entry.

The Movie which was Nigeria’s first ever entry at the academy was disqualified after the academy dropped the number of films competing for the award to 92 from what had been a record 93 entries.

Lionheart which was made by actress turn director Genevieve Nnaji was in the Oscar race for the Best International Feature Film category.




This serves as a bad news for Nigeria Movie Industry as the country aim to put itself on the global stage.
