Popular female singer, Simi has stated the major problems singers and songwriters in Nigeria are dealing with.
The award winning singer via a tweet on her Twitter handle noted that major artistes in the industry are catering for the same audience.
Simi who recently released her new single ‘Selence’ which is already making wave noted that all artiste don’t want the situation on ground but they just have to deal with it because the structure of the industry is inevitable.
She added by noting that artiste expect the same set of people to enjoy rap, street music, pop and the rest, a move she considers strange.
She tweeted:
I think one of the most trying things Naija artistes deal with is that we're mostly catering to the same audience. We don't want to have to, but the structure of the industry makes it inevitable. We expect the same people to like Rap, street music, soul, pop, indie. It's strange.
