Recall that Kobe Bryant and his 13 years old daughter, Gianna was pronounced dead yesterday after his helicopter crashed on their way to a basketball game.

However, some section of the fans who seems not too pleased with the way celebrities are posting Kobe Bryant’s picture on social media slammed the celebrities as the noted that the legendary athlete was not celebrated during his lifetime.

Toke Makinwa who has had enough of this, took to her Twitter page to call out the so called fans as she stated that instead of criticizing people they should be thinking about their life has affected the world.

She tweeted:

Before you criticize people for mourning a legend they haven’t met or paying their respect to Kobe, before you comment foolishly, think about your life, your work, your message to the world and hope that when it’s your turn to go the world will feel your departure

However, former big brother naija star and model Thelma also shared in the opinion of fans as she noted that people should learn to celebrate greatness when they are alive and not dead.

Thelma took to her Instagram Page to share her opinions on how Kobe Bryant’s death is being mourned online as she noted that even the basketballer birthday was not celebrated like this.

She captioned her post:

Let’s celebrate people more when they are alive than when they are dead .. ✌️

Some fans will however agree with Thelma’s thought on the subject matters as it’s left to be seen whether Toke Makinwa’s post was aimed at the reality star.
