Liverpool’s unbearable run has come to an end as they get beaten by a determined Watford side.
Liverpool who were coming into the game in a run of 27 matches unbeaten having
yet to lose a game all season were
battered by a Watford side who are in a relegation battle.
The reds started the game with their strongest first eleven which had their front
three, Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
Despite ending the first 45 minutes in a goaless draw, Watford came to the party in
the second half when Ismaila Sarr struck the first blow in the 54th minutes.
Sarr scored his second goal of the match 6 minutes later after a great work from Troy Deeney.
The Senegalese forward turned provider for the third as he returned the favor to
Deeney who made sure Liverpool left the stadium will zero point for the first time in
the season.
Liverpool’s unbeaten run ended after 37 matches unbeaten, as they went 12 shy of
Arsenal’s history makers, who went 49 without defeat throughout 2003/04 and
into the following season.
