With the debate on who is the greatest afrobeat singer in the country still going,

way for him in his career except Fela and his family members have gotten the

backing of Uti Nwachukwu.

Uti Nwachukwu took to the micro blogging site to show his support to the ‘Gbona’ crooner by issuing a stern warning to Nigerians criticising Burna Boy’s statement.

According to Uti, Nigerians show actually by thanking the award winning singer instead of criticizing as he noted that he has earned the right to be respected and celebrated.

He tweeted;

We should actually thank @burnaboy
for putting RESPECT on our name internationally!! Especially at times like these where we have very little to brag about as a country! Entertainment has been our saving grace in recent times! PUT SOME RESPECT ON HIS NAME!! HE FREAKING EARNED IT!

Uti Nwachukwu warn Nigerians to respect Burna Boy and his legacy might not go

down well in the face of some fans who thinks he’s getting more arrogant.

Recall that Burna Boy was on the verge of being the first Nigerian singer to win the

Grammy Award after he was nominated for the ‘World Music Album’.

However, he lost the award to legendary female singer and songwriter, Angelique Kidjo who won the award for the fourth time in her glamorous career.
