OAP Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi known as Gbemo .O posted on her Instagram page over the death of a popular Nigerian-American broadcaster, Daniel ‘Dan’ Foster who died from alleged coronavirus complications.
Popularly known as The Big Dawg, Daniel ‘Dan’ Foster was credited with changing the face of radio as an OAP at Cool Fm, one of the popular radio stations in Lagos. He was also a DJ, and radio producer.
Gbemi O said in her post on Instagram I can’t believe this is true. Also adding saying thank you for taking a chance on me in 2005.
She also said his jovial, playful, and smooth style of presentation endeared him to the listener throughout Lagos, Nigeria, and beyond.
The Big Dawg, who arrived in the country in 2000, was a proper Nigerian despite being born in America, as he did not shy away from Nigerian food, attires, and even languages.
He had always tried to speak one of Nigeria’s popular languages on air. He married only a Nigerian!
She also added he inspired and encouraged me you’re proud of me . I will continue to make you proud .
