The acting managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Kemebradikumo Pondei has been reported and seen to have slumped and collapsed during investigation and probe by the House of Representative of Nigeria into the commission.
Prof. Pondei who was to answer some questions in a dramatic way had seizure just while
the hearing was going on, it is seen that the people who were with him quickly rushed to help him and tried to make sure he stayed ok.
The NDDC Probe committee chairman, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo has stepped down from the Niger
delta Development Commission investigative committee of Nigeria House of Representatives.
On Thursday 16 July, 2020, the management of NDDC led by the Acting MD, Prof.
Kemebradikumo Pondei stage walked out of of the panel after the panel was accused of
corruption.
The Acting MD of the commission earlier stated that they were not comfortable with the
person who is in charge of the probe to do a fair job.
They said they had no issue with been probed but not with that person, stating this is not
the first time of been probed, thus making the House of Reps Committee on NDDC issue
warrant of arrest on the Acting MD of NDDC.
This development has left so many Nigerians in shock and disbelieve, they claim they won’t be deceived that it’s all pure acting and it’s been staged.
