Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, have debunked rumours spreading round social media that the union has called off it’s strike.
It would be recalled that the union embarked on strike early March, this year
over some pending issues that’s yet to be resolved with the government.
With schools finally reopening after it has been shut down for some months due to
the Coronavirus pandemic, students were eager to hear the good news of ASUU
suspending it’s strike.
The union have however urged student to debunk rumour of their resumption as
they noted that nothing of such is true.
Through a statement on their official Twitter page, they tweeted:
